Our Adult Education programs are designed to further enhance understanding of Jewish practice, culture and philosophy.  We aim to provide everyone, regardless of background or knowledge level, opportunities to learn, grow and mingle with other Jews from Hudson County and beyond.

Torah, Talmud, Mishnah, Hebrew, and other aspects of Judaism are studied with a view towards application to modern life.  If you embrace Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist Judaism, or if you simply wish to learn about Judaism, we are a place of learning for you.

Classes are held both in the evenings and daytime to accommodate people’s varied schedules. If there is a topic you would be interested in studying, please reach out to Rabbi Aaron.

Hebrew with Jewish Philosophy: Thursday, March 15 from 7PM – 8:15PM

Rabbi Aaron Katz employs an innovative Ulpan style teaching method using associative learning to teach Hebrew in Hebrew. We use basic vocabulary revolving around Jewish holidays, traditions, modern day Israeli culture, and current affairs. The classes focus on speaking, reading, and some writing.
No RSVP or pre-registration is required. You can start at any class during the year. You will be given individual attention, your needs will be addressed, and you will learn at your own pace.
Rabbi Katz is also fluent in Spanish and other languages, and we encourage anybody who would like to learn Hebrew to attend our classes.
